Chilling in NYC this weekend? Looking for some funky, deep, techno, tech house, and deep house to move your body to? Well look no further, because the esteemed promotions team that makes up Verboten have brought New York another incredible show to see featuring headliner from the Detroit house music scene, Seth Troxler. The legendary producer/DJ tore it up supposedly at this years Movement Festival as some of The Drop Crew memebers were able to enjoy his stunning set. The funny thing is I can take myself back to Electric Zoo 09′ and realized Seth Troxler was the first DJ I ever witnessed live. He was the first set on the main stage, and now hes always saved for last! The man is taking his sound to bigger and better places and this event is only going to accentuate that.
Opening up for Seth though is a less familiar name, but one that is sure to pull some serious moves on the scene in the coming year is rising British star, Subb-an. Named as DJ Magazines ‘Best Breakthrough DJ’ in their 2011 end of year awards, Subb-an’s prodigious studio talents have seen him release on Crosstown Rebels, Spectral, Saved and My Favourite Robot and deliver much lauded remixes of Jamie Woon, Lana Del Ray, Noir & Haze and Hollis P Monroe over recent months. Subb-an has actually recently had a remix leaked that should be releasing off Crosstown Rebels soon enough of Tiga’s track ‘Pleasure From The Bass.’
The event featuring these two underground stars is TOMORROW so make sure to grab your tickets using the link on Verboten, and it will be starting around 11:00pm at Highline Ballroom. And for those of you who think this is some festival to wear your neon, furry boots, and practically nothing else, this isnt one of those events.. Enjoy the music and remember this is a 21+ event! Hope to see you there!
