Summer is here, school is almost over for most you, so now its time to rage. What better way than to let out all that stress than hit up festivals, right? There are so many impressive lineups this summer across the country, and Starscape 2012: The Garden of Eden is one you won’t want to miss.
On June 9th some of the industries biggest names will all be in Baltimore to party all through the night. The festival spans over 16 hours, from 2pm Saturday to 6am Sunday. This year Ultraworld is emphasizing the festivals new theme, “The Garden of Eden”, leaving us to wonder what sort of guilty pleasures lie within Fort Armistead Park. Ultraworld’s focus for this year is to bring the theme to life by decorating the park, with visuals, state of the art production and “interactive experiences”. Ultraworld also decreased capactity by 2000 tickets to prevent over crowding (so get your tickets before it sells out), and placed an 18 and up policy. The Drop Media’s past experiences at Starscape have been nothing less than exceptional and have high expectations for this year.
The lineup features big acts by Wolfgang Gartner, Chase and Status, Flux Pavillion, Shpongle, Dada Life, Zedd, Kill the Noise, Conspirator, Dillon Francis, and much more. If that small sample of the line up isn’t enough, the venue itself is worth going for. 16 hours in the historic fort, with stages on the waterfront, tucked back by the dungeons, and paths through the woods, Starscape is more of a music adventure than a festival.
For only $75 bucks for what is essentially 2 days of music Starscape is one our favorite festivals to attend each year. Last year’s festival sold out before the day for the event so don’t wait to get your ticket. To check out the full lineup, pictures from last year and more information go to the festival link below. Look out for The Drop Crew for pictures at the event!
