I know I only just posted Bromance #3 featuring the latest Brodinski, but we all know were equally looking forward to his french brother Gesaffelstein’s latest release. Joking on twitter recently, Turbo records owner Tiga, who I mentioned yesterday, said its time to form the Jewish House Mafia since SHM is breaking up, A-Trak, Gesaffelstein and Tiga himself…honestly this is the best idea Ive heard in a while. Usually releasing tracks on Turbo, Gesaffelstein is releasing his latest 2 singles on Brodinski’s Bromance Records which Gesaffel helped start. I think these tracks actually speak miles about the artist Gesaffelstein is, and the career he plans to have. In the preview for track #1 “Belgium” we hear a familiar sounding build up to a familiar sounding drop, this is not to say its repetitive of old tracks, Gesaffelstein has his production down to such a science that even when using the same kits and sounds, his new track is one I know I will be playing as much as his old. “Depravity” however, the title track, features a new big room sound for Gesaffelstein, perhaps him realizing that with all of the huge summer festivals and the popularity surging to him, its time to make some even bigger, heavier, perhaps mainstream friendly tracks. Personally I like it when my house music scares me, and this shit is dark as usual. Enjoy these previews released only hours ago and get ready for Bromance #4 to drop on July 9th! Also congrats to the duo for making the cover of the July issue of DJ Mag and special props to Brodinski for rocking a Mehdi Tee, if you’re reading this, we miss you Mehdi!
