Martin Solveig’s indie-disco oriented original “The Night Out” is a great chill out track for anyone. The vocals along with the calm, easy going tempo have caught the attention of a bunch of other DJs. Madeon, A-Trak, TheFatRat, and Maison & Dragen all went in on the remix to revamp its sound and show us a little something different.
A-Trak’s remix is the one I think I’ll start off with because it was my favorite one out of the four. He is able to really maintain the essentials of the original, keeping up the great vocals and the chilled out buildup, but obviously what gets me is how he lets it drop. The Drop hits you with that rubbery bass that is the perfect level of intensity to just allow you to shake, rattle, and roll.

Madeon’s remix changes up the original a fair bit, adding an even more disco touch that he seems to be quite the perfectionist at. Again holding true to the epic vocals but really demonstrating his unique, individual style as a producer Madeon is a definite guy to keep looking for in EDM. The Electro House/Disco vibes are surely here and get you into the track, so definitely give it a listen.

TheFatRat’s really took their remix to a different level. Starting with a disco-tech sounding buildup, but then breaking it down into a more progressive build. The drop unfolds into a heavy, bass-filled monster and is littered with these sporadic additional synths that come together into a crisp production.

Maison & Dragen getting it started with a longer build that keeps the energy going as usual. They let it breakdown into a slow, building melody that has progressive anthem-like synths to have you uplifted and ready for that drop to hit. The drop is completely reminiscent of a classic progressive track and will be sure to make any main room audience lose themselves in the music.
