Introducing, Jade Blue [Black Butter]...

Jade Blue is the perfect alias for the up and coming London ‘BASS’d producer, Jade. JB is only 21 years of age and has an enormous amount of space to grow, as well as fill, considering she’s only been seriously producing since 2013 and has already added the Black Butter Records notch to her bedpost.  That’s right..a couple of weeks ago she bolstered into the Black Butter recording camp and added a co-production with Frequency titled, ‘Lately’ to the dark and sexy label’s arsenal, which has already recieved over 300k plays on Sound cloud within a couple days of its release. Jade is what we at the Nation like to call an ‘organic producer.’ Not only has her success come at a rapid rate, but she slowly became entranced with electronic music growing up by emerging herself in the notorious London music scene. Additionally, her passion for production is the result of her musical upbringing that consisted of her fluency with the violin, clarinet and piano of which, has culminated in what is expected to be her massive project, Jade Blue. The last and final element we at the nation attribute to the ‘organic producer’ is a curious fascination that leads a producer to pay attention and create within the gray area between their favorite genres and not the other way around. I think we have all had enough of Monkey See Monkey do in the music industry. Below are two of her tracks: The first is one of her earlier tracks titled, ‘Moving Away‘, and it emits a deep and dark indie aura with the eerie but beautifully jaded vocals caressing the minor piano chords. This track is responsible for landing her voiced support from producers of the likes of My Nu Leng, KryWolf  and Korin.   The second is her infamous collaboration with Frequency out on Black Butter. The production certainly has a taken a new angle on the increasingly stereotypical ‘deep’ sound and has amped it out of its ‘chill’ confinements through esoteric mixing, sultry vocal samples, and layered sub bass.   Keep an eye out for her in the future. – Apollo
