Some huge news has hit the internet about my favorite rising Parisian label, Bromance Records, headed by Brodinski and Manu Barron. The parisian masterminds have teamed with OWSLA to bring us a bit of Bromance here in the states and Canada. Read the editorial below!
“Bromance, the label from Parisian DJ and producer Brodinski and Manu Barron, is proudly expanding its presence in North and South America with the founding of Bromance US. Propelled by the French label’s unwavering artistic direction and bolstered by experience from the team behind Skrillex‘s OWSLA (which is a partner in the project), Bromance US is a wholly unique venture serving as a strong platform for Bromance artists as well as developing young and upcoming American musicians.
While discussing the union with the OWSLA team on the project, Brodinski remarked, “We’ve had in mind to build a proper team in the US to help us for such a long time… Manu was working on other stuff with the OSWLA fellas at that time, and one night we all had dinner, nothing pro, just a huge friendly dinner. When we sat down later with Manu and the crew to talk about opening a new office / antenna out there, it goes without saying that it felt like something pretty obvious: they were our guys, the right team, the American extension of the family.”
The first release from the new union is the debut concept album, History of Man, from progressive Toronto-based producer Illangelo out August 20th. Additionally, there will be several more releases on the Bromance US docket for 2013, including EPs from deep house DJ and kindred Bromance family member, Louisahhh!!! and Brodinski & Theophilus London (with plenty more aural surprises in the works). Also, the Bromance family will be hitting the road from September 19th until October 6th with their North and South American Bromance Tour featuring Gesaffelstein, Brodisnki and Louisahhh!!!”
